Working at Heights Recert/MEWP Combo (Classroom)

In this 2-in-1, in-person course, the Working at Heights (WAH) Re-Certification portion provides participants with an understanding of potential fall hazards and controls, the appropriate selection, use and limitations of various types of fall protection and arresting equipment. This program is certified as having all the WAH requirements and is CPO approved.
WAH Re-Cert Topics Include:
- Hazard assessments
- Job hazard analysis (JHA)
- Practical application
- Demonstration of harness inspection
- Relevant legislation
- Responsibilities and roles
- Post-fall rescue planning
- Hazards of static suspension
- Correct recovery of a fall victim
- Procedures
The in-person MEWP Combo portion of the course allows students to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills required to operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), such as boom and scissor or manually propelled and towable/crawler lifts safely. Upon successful completion of the classroom theory and final written exam, students must successfully complete the hands-on practical evaluation for each piece of equipment to receive operator certification.
